China -- Helping Hands Ministry leader Mike Heath has accepted an invitation to speak just before supper at this year's Annual Beastfeast event. The popular gathering will be held on September 22, 2012 at the More to Life Campground in Winthrop from 3 to 8 p.m.
The biography of Heath used in the Beastfeast promotional materials observes that, "Few men in Maine are more polarizing than Mike Heath. Many people think of him as radioactive. One widely read columnist refers to him as 'Saint Michael the Dark-angel.'"
Mike lives in China, Maine with his wife Paulie. They are proud of their three sons. The oldest two are married. One is a graduate of Grove City College, America's finest evangelical liberal arts college. Two are U.S. Marine Sergeants with three combat tours between them.
The biography continues, "The 50 year old father of three sons bivouacked in a Baxter State Park lean-to before he turned one. He has always loved Maine.
In 1989, at the age of 19, Jesus called him to ministry. This calling led him into politics as leader of the Christian Civic League of Maine. For over two decades Mike fought the sodomy lobby in Maine and America. In the tradition of Biblical prophets of old, and as a Christian warrior, he continues that fight today.
Mike says of Beastfeast, 'No event is more important. Christian men must respect, and hopefully rediscover, the skills required to be successful in the blood sports. Beastfeast provides men with an opportunity for Christian fellowship that honors the hunt. I can't wait for September!'"
